How to Send a Tip

Anything is welcome — newsworthy events, systems in need of reform, or uplifting stories. Contact us by the phone number or email in the site footer, and the reporter in charge will review your tip and get back to you.

If you have photos or video, including when and where they were taken helps us verify them much faster.

Source Protection

We never disclose a tipster's identity without their consent, under any circumstances, and we take protective measures so that sources cannot be identified through the reporting process. Anonymous tips are also accepted.

How Tips Are Handled

Submitted tips are reviewed at the newsroom desk meeting, and only matters that pass fact-checking are published. As a rule, we respond with the outcome of your submission regardless of whether it leads to a story.
